I like that you pointed out how suffering also is relational, the way that you talked about identity being relational. And it's good to recognize which extreme you yourse tend towards, so that you can temper it with the other ro look it. It may be that the only response to affliction in the world is to share in, to take it on, and thus perhaps lessen it for others. Even christ crying out, why o god have you forsaken me? Is not about him. Like there's always this others centres centred idea with suffering that makes the suffering instrumentally good. Only when it becomes self absorbed that it seems pointless.
