The book of kings reads more like a gam of thrones than it does like a philosophical dialogue. The hope is for a wise kingor a wise rulershipa but often what we get is this kind of scitzophrenia. It's not, you know, the ability to get political power, that's instrumentally good, but it's morally indifferent. But i do think maybe that when you bring back, in a weird way, the diasp made it easier for judaism to be a more philosophic religion.
