The Jaipur Lim knee was designed to bring down the cost of a single axis knee. The original design was to be $25 it ended up being 35 overall for this full knee polymer filled nylon knee that they eventually develop. But I think the interesting design thinking feature here was how they began thinking about this not from the functional needs of the patient but their emotional needs.
