What Is Dislexia?

It's only been about 20 years that we've had a clearly defined definition of dislexia. It is characterized by difficulties with accurate and or fluent word recognition, corse spelling and decoding abilities. These difficulties typically result from a deficit in the phonological component of language. The fact that it only came out in two thousand and two is important - i'll echo back to this in a few minutes.
