God had to go through a lot of humanity. He was just like, you know what? I'm not going to sugarcoat it. Old Testament is wilding out here. And it's finally worse in the beginning. So this was before Jesus. When we get to the New Testament, it's like, okay. It gets better. Like warming fuzzies.
