Is the AI Running Away?
I think one like fear in the shadows that's not being acknowledged is it's not so much the AI will run away. As it's running away, we won't have enough time to think through how to stop it. So I kind of think that there's an AGI situation already happening with social media where our minds are collective intelligence of human civilization is already being controlled by an algorithm. It does strike me that there's sort of smarter and less smart ways of exposing ourselves to each other on the internet.
