Moldova, the Biggest Victory of the Century for a Republic of Moldova
Moldover sits on the western edge of the formia soviet block by the black sea. Most people speak romanian as their first language and have close cultural ties with romania, their neighbour to the west. Like many moldovens, virel chibitar had wanted to break away from the soviet union when it began collapsing in the early ten nineties. As many as two thousand people died in a battle for a disputed region called transnestria.
