The Cuban Missile Crisis didn't come about because JFK or his advisors wanted to undermine America. It was an example of a president being willing to defend American interests in order to face down what was perceived to be a serious Soviet threat. Democrats are almost genetically weak, so they grant concessions and appease our adversaries but don't follow through on those commitments when they get into office.
