Preaching the Parable Is a Contra, Not a Comparison

If you preach that passage as if the message is be like the widow, then you will think of God as the judge, hard to get through to. And then you will have a sermon which is all about long hours of prayer. But if you see the parable is a contrast and not a comparison, you may have a message which is really liberating and joyful and wonderful. You hope that you can somehow get your listeners excited, as excited about it, as you have become.
