Predictive Perception - Control and Regulation of the Internal State of the Body
The way we perceive the outside world is predicated on these mechanisms that have their fundamental objective in the regulation of our internal bodily state. So predictions, perceptual predictions, for the interior of the body, are of a very different kind. They're instrumental. They're control oriented. They're not episthemic. All it cares that i'm going to catch the ball. It only cares about control and regulation of the internal state of the body. And i think that gets it. For me anyway.
