Philosophy is an important part of education. I think that thinking about philosophical questions can be a richly rewarding and valuable activity for people, and we ought to encourage it. To make good decisions, you have to draw on wide bodies of knowledge. Sometimes this will be economic, sometimes its sociology, sometimes its psychology, sometimes it will be philosophy.
