The New Way of Testing for West Nile
In 2010, the FDA did release a guidance that basically requires blood centers to do one time donor testing. This was also very different from when we were actually testing all blood donors. There's been about 10 cases of transfusion transmitted cases in the US and Canada. So not a lot, but it definitely is a risk that's there.
