Top Secret Classification
It seems highly likely to me that merrick gar and other folks at d o j were very concerned about reclaiming these documents. We don't know what type of classified material this was, but top secret classification implies that leakage of those documents would be detrimental to the national security. I'm talking about an optics issue. Not all classified information is equal. And maybe the materials in these boxes, or the materials that are still secreted somewhere at marilago, relate to something very, very, very sensitive and directly relevant to the nationalSecurity. In case, i think all this will look justified later.
