In the real world, about 50% within a few years of taking a statin will stop taking it. And when you ask them, they say because they got side effects. So for me, I was trying to calculate mathematically, just logically, why is there no decrease in cardiovascular death rates attributed to statin prescription? It's because the benefits in terms of increasing life expectancy are only quite minor and then that's from the trial data where people took the stands. We're talking about one of the most lucrative drugs in the history of medicine. That's how beneficial it is.
