I feel like he falls into a certain California liberalism maybe, especially of this era you know of the 70s. I'm pretty sure he was a Republican and wrote for maybe Republican newspapers at some point but one thinks that they may not have sort of agreed with him. He wants to be remembered as a tyrant is this also in which he's trying to articulate how he doesn't necessarily want the need the vacuum of power that he leaves. In his dying what in his dying he reproduces the conditions of Arrakis that were around 3500 years ago right at the time he dies it's more of a paradise then he kind of expected.
