How to Promote a Super Smart Person
As we evolved historically before all of our innovations, working hard was the only way to actually get ahead because work done equaled results gotten. I would suggest you to have a conversation with her and explain to her basically how promotion works in the company. Once you explain that then naturally it comes forward that working hard is not what really gets you promoted. All things equal, the person who works hard has an advantage, but all things equal.
