In 1638 Anne Hutchinson experienced a pregnancy loss of her own and people saw this fetus as monstrous as well. The Dyer's spent the next several years living in Rhode Island where William helped found the city of Portsmouth. They ultimately moved again when it seemed like the colony in Massachusetts was going to amex the land that they had been living on.
