The Moon's Oscillation Wobbles Slowly Over Time
The nodes drift westward over time, with a period of about 18 and a half years. A torque exerted by the sun on the orbit of the moon causes its orbit to wobble. The end result is that if you have a perfect lunar eclipse on one month, six months later, the full moon will be a little bit away from the node by about four degrees.
