i used to believe that it was easier for the g o p to let go of fiscal conservatism than it would be for the progressive left. But no they can't do that, unlike merkle and boris johnson,. i really think there is a historical moment tat this crisis of american conservatism has systemic risk. It's just not obvious how safe this thing is in their hands. And then backed youre fundamentally dstable.
