The Law of Life in the Gospel of John

John 10:7 says I am the door of the sheep and all that ever came before me are thieves and robbers but the sheep did not hear them. The image of life denotes this idea of having children but also having life in itself it's kind of like this cosmic life. In verse 17 therefore doth my father love me because I lay down my life that I might take it up again no man take of it from me but ILay it down of myself I have power to lay it down and  I have power to take it back. John 11:11 he shall feed his flock like a shepherd he shall gather the lambs with his arm and carry them in his bosom
