How to Make a Good Performance Review Rating
It takes hundreds of times the amount of work to undo a bad one than it does to make a good one in the first place. Over half of the variability in performance review ratings is attributed to the rater, not the person being rated. We want contexts e.g., if i'm cranky but you know that i'm under a lot of pressure and i haven't slept well, we want people to take that context into account when they interpret my behavior. But context takes effort and it takes mental capacity.
