Ford has announced that it is closing down its operations in india. The company cited years of accumulated losses, persistent industry over capacity and lack of expected growth as reasons for the decision. Ford made revenues of nearly 28 thousand crows in f y 20 19, and a net profit of 211 crows in the same year. But then in f i 20 20, the revenues dropped to a measry two thousand crows, with the company having lost close to five thousand 400 crows. All in all, the company accumulated losses to the t of two billion us Dollars while trying to take a stab at the indian market.
So the question is, why?utly announced that it will be shutting down its car manufacturing plants in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. And while they've promised to provide their customers with spare parts and service, it is clear as day that Ford has indeed made up its mind to leave India.
