A Simple Unity in the World
Mylander: Everything that exists in the world was just before the world existed. It was part of a big, transcendent unity that somehow came into existence. The whole universe is sort of a collection of decaying fragments of god. And it's this drive for annihilation, or this longing for death, that's present in every living and non-living being - called the will to die. This manifests itself as a will to life, but it's only a disguise.
