Introduction
Fernanda Pirri is a professor of the Anthropology of Law at Oxford University. She is the author of Peace and Conflict in Ladakh, the Anthropology of law and her most recent book which we are discussing today. The Rule of Laws was a 4,000 year quest to order the world. It's really a global history of law, a rather ludicrously ambitious attempt to tell the history of the world's laws all 4,000 years whole world in a single book.
