The Recessionary Impact of the Cold War
In Europe in particular, I'm really quite worried about the recessionary impact of the war. The neighbor of a major shooting war, and as of this week, it's quite clear that Russia is going to use the gas weapon. So Europe could be gas rationing by the second half of the year,. That's not the environment in which you want to be raising interest rates. And we shouldn't underestimate the deflationary recessionary pressure that comes from China.
