"I was so afraid before I took this trip for the last, you know, two years," he said. "There was this low grade anxiety that the farther away from my hometown I was, if something happened, somebody couldn't come and help." He says his biggest takeaway has been how amazing it is to be in America where like, no matter what, there's a Walmart.
Norm MacDonald did an Ask Me Anything (AMA) on Reddit in 2018, and when asked what life's purpose is he said:
"Well, it depends on your view I suppose but it's been my experience is that life's purpose is to suffer. To abide the inevitable pain and to bear it in a noble way."
