The Great Fire of London

The fire started in St Paul's Cathedral, which was being repaired. It set the scaffolding alight and melted the stone cathedral down. Three days later almost all of London was totally destroyed. 13,000 homes had been burned to the ground but luckily only eight people died. Some say that's why London never experienced the plague again.
