HEIDEGGER FOR A TIME BETWEEN WORLDS w/ Steve March
The Integral Stage
The Three Poisons of Thrownness
Heidegger's concept of thrown us is that we're thrown into the world, embedding ourselves in a world. The disorienting quality of being thrown can help people deal with subsequent disorientations they have to face. In every moment of thrownness, there's also freedom; neither disowns nor owns it by itself. To be truly authentic means owning both our thrownness and our freedom in it.
