Theology in Late Antiquity
Neoplatonism did not speak to marginalized groups. What I think Christianity does is they made it into more of a theatrical, passive experience where people could gather together and watch the priests do the theology. And you don't have to do it yourself. All you have to do is just receive the communion at the end to do your part. Yeah. Well, it's interesting too though that theology was a little bit weird even if you set it against paganism of the time in the respect that you're just talking about.
