Is There a Taka-Hae?

There's another really great Kiwi animal, animal in New Zealand, the taka-hae. The first sighting by Europeans was 1849 and they went quite quickly extinct. Jeffrey Orbel took his expert eyes out on this 1948 expedition to find them. They haven't been seen for 50 years but now there are only about 300 of them.
