Will Smith and Cass came together for an hour of memories and commentary. There was even a tearful reunion between Smith and Janet Hubert, who played the original Ant Viv. The reunion show also paid tribute to James Avery, who played Uncle Phil. He died following open-heart surgery in 2013 at 68 years old. In January 2022, a dramatic reboot of Fresh Prince called Bel Air launched on Peacock. It was developed by Will Smith and Morgan Cooper after he made a short film that imagined what if Fresh Prince was a drama instead of a comedy.
