The Importance of Interest and Passion in Language Learning
I think a lot of things started from school and then kind of moved on to self-study because I am interested and I would like to know more about it. And that seems to be the one universal factor of every successful language learner I've met, whether it's they speak one foreign language or 20 languages. So I think maybe more effort was putting in because I think that was something I would want to know more. But if you only learn through the classroom, really struggle. That environment is not ideal for reaching fluency.
