The Importance of Education Savings Accounts in Kansas
Lawmakers in Kansas rejected a bill that would have brought so-called Education Savings Accounts or ESA's to the sunflower state. The bill would have given around $5,000 directly to parents to spend on the schooling option of their choice. Leah Fliter is the Assistant Executive Director of Advocacy for the Kansas Association of School Boards. She says that language was key to the bill's defeat.
