New Madison Square Garden to Rise Atop Penn Station
A new madison square garden will be built on top of pennsylvania station as part of a 50 million dollar complex that will include sports arenas, offices, restaurants, convention halls and a hotel. By the late 19 fifties, there was actually home in hell's kitchen on eighth avenue, between forty ninth and fiftieth. The pen station spot seemed ideal for the garden because they would have easy access to trains, commuter trains and all thee subway lines. A later on, down here in the middle, the main waiting room pennsylvania station will be left as is,. Special facilities such as ramps and arcades will be built to permit ready access to the sports and entertainment facilities for persons
