Topicalization and Morphological Topic Marking

Another grammaticalization pathway we're thinking about is topicalization and morphological topic marking, which can often come from third person pronouns. And so that co-referential pronoun for, you know, third person situations can end up being reanalyzed as an actual topic marker. That's what it's doing there. Yeah. But like I can imagine a passive marker coming to mark focus on the verb or something that reintroduces a passive subject,. having something to do with becoming focused marking like by an English or Bay in Chinese. These things that are saying, okay, we passivize this sentence, but we're actually going to put the original agent back in for some reason. Right
