The Role of Endoscopic Ultrasound in Sarcoidosis Diagnosis
The standard practice to diagnose cardiac sarcoid is a cardiac MRI with and without contrast. We see late gadolinium enhancement in a non-eschemic distribution indicative of, you know, cardiac Sarcoidosis. The real importance of the electrophysiologist comes into play in this setting. One way that we can get at that risk stratification for ventricular arrhythmias is to do what's called an electiologic study.
