Elise: Aggression is incredibly natural. A lot of us step back from it, and we can target it at each other in this sort of insidious way that men don't because they don't have to. With boys, there's a certain expectation that they will be vocal and physical about their dismay or what they want. Girls are conditioned for niceness, for goodness, for pliability. And girls don't yell. They don't hit. Or that's how we raise them.
