Beowulf Poem: Is Cain a Nephilim?

In the Beowulf poem, Cain is said to have been a kinslayer. In Anglo-Saxon society, and like the Germanic Iron Age, to be a kinslayer is the worst possible sin. If you can't trust your brother or cousin, how are you going to survive as a people? This is actually one of the big questions that is raised at the end of the poem.
