The Importance of Being Strong
As an environmentalist, I had a challenge because for traumatized people, the environment was their last concern. Some of us launched a tree planting campaign and encouraged people to stop throwing rubbish in the river. While we were working to clean up the river, musicians and poets started coming down to play to us. It's a nice atmosphere now, and it encourages us to work even harder. The lesson from all this is, never give up hope. We've seen so much death but we learned how to be strong and responsible"
