Science and Politics Under Trump

The idea is that there is science about public health and about covid, and it will tell you the correct policies. And what we got under the trump administration was, at times, pretty direct interference in what are normally civil service functions of agencies like c d c. We had efforts to directly intervene from the white house in school covet safety guidance. You just had statements by particularly trumpen self that were not necessarily science based. So ye bidon promised to do away with that, promised to lead with the science. And i don't think anyone following this closely can claim he has been doing that.
