Programming knowledge transcends documented products like the source code and documentation. The decision that a part of the world is relevant can only be made by somebody who understands the whole world, you know, has a whole theory of the problem. That understanding must be contributed by the programmer. And if you don't have the theory, you can't do that explanation.
