I know that there's both a clinical aspect with patients, but then also an academic side of the equation as well. My career path, I did my undergraduate degree with dietetics thinking I wanted to be a dietician and then I did one research experience as an undergrad which was looking at how a compound in pomegranates was affecting prostate cancer cells. That really opened up my mind to just how powerful nutrition could be. So yeah, a little bit of a windy path that went into academia left a little bit came back in a different way.
