Did the British Bombing of Coventry Really Save Britain?

Hitler was enraged that the british had targeted berlin. The germans believed in something called, they don't like to use the word, it's taboo, carpet bombing. But any time a british bomber took off, it was going to area bomb. And if they hit workers houses or they hit watermanes, all the better they felt. I think there was about 15 hundred killed.
