The Unity of the Body of Christ
The church has been given the one gift of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Paul expresses this reality in much more detail in 1 Corinthians 12. He lists a number of different gifts that can be exercised within the body of Christ. These include prophecy, service, teaching, exaltation and contribution. The exercise of various gifts is also connected with appropriate corresponding virtues.
