I think for anyone doing research, like the pit you really want to avoid is your work not making contact with the world or more importantly with other people at regular intervals. I've recently been writing a paper where me and my co-author writers have only written in Zoom meetings together. It's extremely fun. But what it eliminates is really any chance of getting in your own head, right, or progressing. And it's just so interactive and it's really social.
