The Male Power of Side Din
In the prologue, we find out that what's the male power called side din? Yes. We learn that it's tainted. So does that, are we assuming that carries forward? And is the taint why men can't use it? Presumably as best the evidence says right now. It makes sense chronologically, right? Because loose there and did something; then the dark one had a counter stroke and that led to the taint. All male channelers who have to touch side in the male half of the true source, all of them go insane. And they all die.
