How Do We Measure Schools?
Using the student growth per centile would go a long way towards getting race racial rhetoric out of education. It puts the focus on ar we is every student headed in the right direction and it takes the focus off of gaps. Racial gaps don't matter so much a cause we don't care, per se, that the racial statistics are different. What we want to do is help all black children. We just want to help everyone, and we want to help the blacks. Raising their scores is a good thing. But the other mentality, it focuses on gaps. And that's why the teachers like the old way.
