The Armor of God in Spiritual Warfare
The first weapon of which we must avail ourselves in spiritual warfare is the strength of the lord or as paul says his might that is god's might. Jesus himself said in john 15 5 that apart from me you can do nothing and he who also wears this armor of god shall defeat satan. You will not find a saint sifted and winnowed by this enemy who did not come off with an honorable victory our examples are david jobe peter and paul - i like to consider these words from the 17th century Puritan theologian William Grinnall "Satan with all his wits and wiles shall never defeat a soul armed with true grace" -
