'Skitzophronia', 'The Anti Capitalist Condition'

Mark fisher was riffing on critical theorist frederick jamieson's metaphor of the skitzophronic as typical of 19 eighties post modern culture. Jamieson described a culture in which we are constantly being bombarded by random images, a series of pure and unrelated presents in time. As he writes, people with schitzophronia embodied the fragmentation of identity that this experience of time creates. Do you o you believe that is the intent? Is successful content in our hypermediated consumer culture affecting the audience so it does not have a coherent sense of self that connects the past, present and future?
