My Dad Was a Young Polisher in an Undertaker
My dad was a young man having just left school in 1952. He remembers quite vividly the first day of the smog and how he came out of work. It just wasn't possible for him to see anything foolishly. And as he was going home, he come across this laundry delivery van that was just stuck across the middle of the road because the driver could not see anything from the cab. My dad actually helped the driver by walking in front of the delivery lorry.
